Fire investigators at FCI, trained and certified in fire, arson, and explosion investigations,
bring extensive experience to your fire scene. We combine cause and origin investigative
information with scene documentation, and collection of evidence for
insurance claims, subrogation, and litigation. FCI fire and arson investigators have
backgrounds in firefighting, fire safety, fire prevention, hazardous
materials, private investigations, law enforcement, and canine (K-9)
accelerant detection. When an origin of a fire points to a product
defect or failure, SEAL engineers are available to assist in analysis
of the specific product failure.
According to the National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA), in 2005, there were 396,000 home fires in the United States, resulting in
3,030 deaths, 13,825 injuries, and $6.875 billion in direct property damage.
Additionally, there were an estimated 31,500 intentional (Arson) fires in
2005, resulting in 315 deaths and $664 million in property damage.
